In this video, Isovalent's Field CTO, Duffie Cooley, reviews the benefits and outcomes of partnering with Isovalent for customers. We kind of changed the paradigm of working in distributed systems. For the most part, a lot of enterprises are trying to figure out process isolation, process orchestration, or container orchestration. When you start getting into that game, a lot of the tools are really lacking, because now you're building applications that have dependencies on other applications. When you start getting into that sort of game, you need a lot more observability to understand whether things are working, what patterns are normal, and how to build a more secure environment. How do you enforce things like microsegmentation, or understand when you see behaviors that could indicate an attack or data exfiltration? It's always been first class within Cilium, and actually also within Tetragon, to give you enough context to understand what those behaviors mean. You can put together a real story and say this application started on this compute node at this time, here are the privileges that it had, and here are the connections that it made. Some of those connections go to outside destinations, perhaps an FQDN or some website that's outside your cluster. We can show you how much data went back and forth between those things, and these are all first-class capabilities that everyone gets by partnering with Isovalent. I think that really changes the game when it comes to understanding what's happening inside of these spaces.
