The Isovalent labs are the best set of resources to learn about the leading cloud networking platform Cilium. But with so many labs to choose from, it can be hard to know where to start! Here are various tracks to help on your learning journey, depending on your particular role
Multi-skilled engineers with responsibility for building, operating, connecting and securing clusters. Skillset expected: Kubernetes, Networking, and Security
Engineer with a networking background. Responsible for connecting clusters to the rest of the network using tools such as BGP or Egress Gateway or connecting clusters together.
Security Engineer responsible for securing the cluster (using Network Policies), ensuring confidentiality (encryption), integrity (mutual authentication) and connecting with existing firewalls (Egress Gateway).
Engineer who may have responsibilities for managing a Service Mesh. That would include ingress/gateway API, egress, encryption/mTLS and observability.
AWS/Azure/GCP cloud engineer responsible for managing, connecting and securing clusters. This learning track focuses on features that are particularly important to engineers using Cilium in cloud environments.
