As our Head of Finance, you will be responsible for everything from our fundraising strategy, down to the day-to-day finance operations.

About Isovalent:

  • Founded by Dan Wendlandt and Thomas Graf in 2016.

  • The company has been built as a global, remote-first company, with headquarters in Silicon Valley, USA, and Zürich, Switzerland.

  • Recently closed its Series B fundraising round, and is backed by Andreessen Horowitz, Thomvest, Google, Cisco, Microsoft and Grafana Labs (amongst others).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the entire finance function, including financial strategy, operations, accounting, FP&A, AR/AP, treasury, risk management, etc.

  • Manage and build out the finance team and ensure that all work is completed accurately and on time.

  • Be a business partner to the executive team, bring quantifiable information into executive level conversations, present financial information during board meetings and to investors.

  • Provide functional/departmental finance support, such as Sales finance, etc.

  • Support the company’s fundraising efforts, develop the fundraising strategy, and maintain relationships with investors (and other relevant partners).

  • Oversee all audit and internal control operations.

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.

  • Manage cash flow and make recommendations to senior management regarding decisions impacting cash burn.

  • Develop and implement financial controls, models, and procedures to mitigate financial risks.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. MBA or CPA preferred.

  • 7+ years of experience in a financial leadership role, preferably at an enterprise technology startup.

  • Experience in an enterprise infrastructure startup, and a direct enterprise sales model (with large enterprise deals in the $1M+ range) is a plus.

  • Prior experience working in a highly successful Series B startup, and having seen a company scale to $50M+ in ARR is a definite plus.

  • Outstanding communication and leadership abilities

  • Ability to operate at both a tactical and strategic level with various levels of stakeholders in the organization.

  • Strong knowledge of financial accounting and reporting standards.

  • Proven track record of developing and implementing financial operations.

  • Experience in fundraising and investor relations is a plus.

  • Experience managing a finance team is a plus.

Compensation:

In accordance with California law, Isovalent's base salary range for this position is $160K-$300K. This range will vary based on geographical location and other factors including skills and experience. Salary is just one component of Isovalent's total compensation package for employees.
