About this role:

Isovalent is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our Platform Integration Teams. This critical role involves spearheading the integration of Isovalent's solutions with various platforms and technologies, enabling seamless deployment and operation for our customers. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in software engineering, coupled with exceptional leadership skills, strong experience both deploying software on cloud platforms, directly and via their marketplaces as well as building products for the Kubernetes ecosystem.


We are seeking candidates located either on America’s East Coast or in Europe. This preference is to ensure alignment with our team's working hours and facilitate collaboration across time zones

A typical day:

  • Grow and mentor software engineers and technical leaders

  • Deliver continuous feedback and performance review of engineers, with input from vertical leads and senior leadership

  • Track progress on projects, help engineers grow their project management skills

  • Preserve the engineering culture as we scale out the team

  • Being a role model of company culture and values

Requirements

Your Expertise:

  • Strong technical background and good understanding of cloud native technologies

  • Experience developing a product for the Kubernetes ecosystem, cloud providers and their marketplace

  • Knowledge of Linux, Kubernetes and the networking stack

  • Software engineering experience

  • Experience of interacting and working with customers

  • Experience managing independent, strong, and diverse teams

  • Strong understanding of customer value

As part of the hiring process, Isovalent may conduct a background check through a 3rd party with an applicant’s consent. Result of any background check will be considered as part of the hiring process, but may not necessarily disqualify a candidate from employment.


Minimum salary of $140,000 to maximum $220,000.

These pay ranges are intended to cover roles based across the United States. The actual offer depends on various factors including geographic location and review of experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant. Compensation for the candidates outside of the US will vary depending on the local market.


Location: The role is remote. Our team is mostly split between Europe and the Americas. For this position, we are looking for someone located around the European timezone, as most reports will be in Europe, with a few in the Americas. Up to GMT-6 would be acceptable.
